What would usually have stressed me a lot, didn't
"Over the past few weeks of the course I had a relationship breakup, some awful stuff happened at work and I needed to decide whether to stay here or move to America. Those three things would normally really stress me out and make me depressed and not sleep very well. Yet I felt like I floated through these past weeks; the course has been a big part of how I’ve approached the situations and come out the other side. It’s been very interesting."
I've learned I need to value myself more
."I’ve really enjoyed the course ... One of the things I’ve loved about it is the sit bone meditation. It’s just so simple. It’s got me back into doing it more regularly. In the past I was told to sit for half an hour and it was never really very practical to do that. But this is so simple you can sit for 10 minutes. It’s also made me more aware of my body and trying to go inside to find out what’s happening. I've learned I need to value
More and more lightbulbs are going off for me

I can be here and not take beta blockers
"I have quite strong social anxiety but I’m able to sit here now without having taken beta blockers and feeling my heart racing. All the symptoms are here but I’m able to sit here and listen to what everybody’s saying. It’s such an improvement over the last few years."
I've discovered my awareness
"I think probably I’ve discovered many things, but the biggest thing is awareness as a whole. I feel more aware of many things. That’s been both good and bad, like a double-edged sword. So I’m more aware of myself, my emotions and how I feel. But today I was walking across London Bridge and all the commuters were coming against me and there was hundreds of them passing by and it made me realise I could almost imagine all these little thought bubbles in everyone’s head, everyone’s just getting to work. It was a very negative thing. I looked at all these grumpy faces and felt there was a lot of sadness... If only they could maybe stop and do the same thing that we’ve done on this course."
I walked away feeling more content and grounded
